Scaffolding work at Cologne Bonn Airport Part II
Since February 1, 2025, we have resumed scaffolding work at the airport. Work on the suspended ceiling will continue in 2026. We are again working with special aluminum I-beam constructions and are currently equipping the entire Terminal 1 at Cologne Bonn Airport with panel scaffolding.
Scaffolding work at Cologne Bonn Airport Part I
Fire protection measures at Cologne Bonn Airport are of crucial importance to ensure the safety of passengers and employees. Scaffolding work plays an important role in the implementation of these fire protection measures and enables access to various areas of the airport.
Through the use of scaffolding, inspections, maintenance and repairs can be carried out on the fire protection facilities.
The scaffolding work must be carefully planned and executed to ensure that it complies with the applicable fire protection standards and the safety requirements of Cologne Bonn Airport.
Special scaffolding systems are used that meet the requirements of the airport and ensure a safe working environment.
Experienced scaffolders work closely with fire protection experts to find the best possible solutions for Cologne Bonn Airport.
Through regular inspections and maintenance, potential fire protection risks can be identified and eliminated early on. This contributes to the safety of everyone involved at the airport.
The scaffolding work around Cologne Bonn Airport extended from 2017 to 2023 inclusive. It was a major challenge for us with a complex aluminum beam construction (11 meters long) from RUX. This special construction was installed suspended under the roof at Terminal 1. Our experienced scaffolders ensured throughout this time that work on buildings and terminals could be carried out safely. Through the use of state-of-the-art scaffolding systems, we guarantee efficient and timely implementation of the construction projects.
